The Valiani family has become minority shareholder of Summa Group
Valiani Srl is excited to join the Belgian group Summa B.V, leader in the production of printing finishing equipment. The Valiani family has become a minority shareholder of Summa Group, convinced that this merger will accelerate the business growth and a faster acquisition of market shares by the Group.
Hence, combining the two organizations’ high quality product portfolios, brands and global capabilities, Valiani and Summa will provide even more innovative solutions to a broader range of cutting equipment.
Both companies will continue to operate under their current company namesand with their actual management teams in place.
This transaction will be helpful to Valiani’s distributors, customers and employees, who will become part of a larger group and will enjoy more opportunities and warranties.
“This important achievement of the Valiani family has been made possible thanks to all the people who work for our business every day, and to the investors who believed in the project” commented Nico Valiani, CEO of Valiani “Today begins a new chapter in the history of Valiani and Summa, in which we will put our efforts to join the forces and to provide an even better service to our customers, continuing to safeguard the values and the long-established corporate culture of both companies, maintaining their identity, brands and human capital”.
Valiani Srl was founded in 1974, the brainchild of Franco Valiani. His dedicated passion and ingenuity continue through his son, Nico, and daughter, Giada. This change of ownership will ensure that the company will continue to have a solid and exciting future.

Summa provides cutting edge solutions through worldwide distribution channels for the printing, signage, display, textile and packaging industries. Summa’s global headquarters is in Gistel, Belgium with divisions in Boston (MA), USA and Nottingham, UK. Summa’s most famous vinyl and contour cutters are a reference in the market. While introducing their flatbed series slightly later, it quickly became a successful product range. This enabled Summa to put a true focus in offering specific textile cutting solutions.
