All Valiani cutting machines are based on a modular tooling system that enables the assembly of different tools from a set of common building blocks. Thanks to this system users can quickly assemble tools for different applications. This reduces the time of tool changeover and boosts productivity. Discover all their features.

Multifunctional Tool Holder (MTH)

The Multifunctional Tool Holder is designed to fit different tools and choose between the Tangential cutting tool (up to 5mm) and the Oscillating Tool (up to 20 mm). The versatility of this tool holder makes it very easy to change from one tool to another. A simple locking system allows the operator to change tools anytime the cutting process requires, in less than 10 seconds. The Multifunctional Tool Holder comes as standard with a manual adjustment to set blade depth. Holder can be operated in pressure or position mode.

i-Heads Tool Holder (ITH)

The i-Heads Tool holder is designed to fit all interchangeable heads series. The innovative magnetic sealing system makes cutting heads change very easy and quick. The magnetic locking system and the diapason fork allow for quick tool changes without the need of a screwdriver and additional calibration. The Tool holder has two types of adjustment: position mode and blade depth. Both adjustable by tenth of millimeter for an “absolute” precision.

Fixed Tool Holder (FTH)

On some machines it is possible to mount fixed tool holders in addition to the ones provided by default. This tool holder supports every type of pen, pencil and felt-tip pen, thought to draw and write on every matboard, cardboard and paper pattern.

Valiani has also an array of tools that fit onto a multifunctional tool holder to enlarge the range of cutting process available on some models such as Oscillating cut, V-Cutting, Kiss cutting and many others.
Valiani Tools grant the user both Modularity and Quick-Change capability. This economical versatility represents a gain in the machining capacity, improving the return on the capital invested in the machine.

90° Straight Cut Tool – (HTD)

For grey and display board, plastics and matboard cutting at 90° on any kind of mat-board, foamboard and grey backing board.
The 90° Straight Cut is a tool capable to grant the highest precision and strength on all framing materials, up to 5mm (3/16”) thick.

Powerful Pneumatic Oscillating knife (PPO)

For Honeycomb cardboard, Composite Foam, Coroplast and Forex. The Oscillating cutting Tool is a pneumatically powered tool, ideal for cutting heavy strength material up to 20 mm (3/4”) but it can also handle thinner and softer material. The combination of pressure strength and the 8 mm stroke make it suitable for a wide range of applications. Available for Maximus & Geminus.

I-Heads (To be combined with i-Heads Tool Holder)

An array of interchangeable heads for the entire line of flatbed cutters. These heads are retained and positioned on the cutting head assembly by means of several small, yet powerful magnets, which make locking fasteners and hardware unnecessary. A specialized wedge-fork tool is supplied that makes removal of each head easy, safe and fast in under 10 seconds.

White 90°-Straight Cut & Kiss-Cut (IHW)

The 90° – White head has been developed to cut a wide range of materials up to a thickness of 6,3 mm (1/4”). It comes as standard with one pressure roller and a metal foot. Recommended to perform half cut on shadow boxes as well as to cut foamboard spacers. • Multi-purpose cutting head • Half-cut on grey board • Compatible with I-Series Holder • Foam board spacers trimming

Green 40° – Bevel Cut (IHG)

The 40° - Green head produces a bevel cut at 40° angle, ideal for both cutting small shapes and traditional bevel cutting. It cuts up to 2.3 mm (0,09”). It guarantees very precise V-Groove on mat-boards and shadow box frames.

The 45° – Red head produces a bevel cut with 45° angle (Face-Up). On every machine it is possible to mount a fixed tool as a third or second optional tool depending on the machine model. This allows you to greatly expand the customization options available.

90° Trimming Tool – (TT)

A new tool that can perform straight external cuts both horizontally and vertically. This tool works as if it was an automatic end trimmer that will serve to square the sheets and get the mat-board perfectly cut to size. The automatic end trimmer is able to perform cuts at 90° on any mat-board with great precision and speed.

Multipurpose Drawing Tool (MDT)

On every machine it is possible to mount a felt tip as a third optional tool. The Multipurpose Drawing tool is very cost-effective since it takes standard drawing tools such as felt-tip pens and ballpoint pens. Unlike our competitors, instead of gripping the marker pen from the body, the tapered nib grips the tip of the pen/pencil.
