What is environmental labeling of packaging and what is it for?

The Legislative Decree no. 116 of September 3, 2020 ("Legislative Decree 116/2020), implementing Directive (EU) 2018/851 on waste and Directive (EU) 2018/852 on packaging waste, has introduced the obligation of environmental labelling of packaging in accordance with Directive (EU) 2018/851 on waste and Directive (EU) 2018/852 on packaging waste. In particular, the decree provides that packaging must have a label containing information on environmental characteristics and disposal methods, aimed at facilitating proper waste management and reducing environmental impact.

The required information includes the identification of the type of packaging, the alphanumeric coding of the packaging material, a description of the material category, and instructions for separate collection.

Where can I find the environmental label on the Valiani packaging?

Our packaging is already properly labelled and displays the nature of the packaging material with the alphanumeric code printed on the outer packaging. For all packaging for which it is not possible to affix the label directly on the product or on the outer packaging, you can easily access this information by scanning the QR Code (RECYCLE INFO) located on the outer packaging or by downloading the complete table by clicking on the button below.
